The Alcolea name has been in the trade since 1973, when Alfonso Alcolea and Teresa Albero opened the Sala Nonell with work by Fortuny, Masson, Grau Sala, Picasso, Juan Gris, Rusiñol, Mir and Casas, and premises in New York and Buenos Aires. In November 2019 it reopened as Jorge Alcolea – Nonell, combining contemporary painting with antiques and modern art.
