What this site is
Teselara is an editorial directory of art galleries and antique dealers in Spain, with buying guides. Today it neither sells nor acts as an intermediary in any transaction: the seller is each house, on its own terms and under its own responsibility. Selling through the site is planned for 2027 and its terms will be published before it opens.
The content of the directory
The listings are compiled from public data — the business's own website or the directory of its professional association — and each one records the address the information came from so that it can be checked. The descriptions are written by us: no text or photograph is copied from anybody's website.
If you are the owner of a business and want to correct your listing, claim it or ask us to take it down, there is a form for that. It is resolved the same day, with no explanations required and at no cost. It is a commitment written into the pact.
The images
The works illustrating the site are pieces from public collections in the public domain — mainly from the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Art Institute of Chicago — and carry their author, their date and the institution that holds them. They do not illustrate any particular business, and this is stated beside each one.
Intellectual property
The texts of the guides, the journal articles and the directory descriptions are original and their ownership belongs to the owner of the site. You may quote them citing the source and linking to the original. Reproducing them in full without authorisation, no.
