Who they were
A Barcelona artist who has spent thirty years working on what is missing. His paintings are made of settled dust, of correction fluid, of press cuttings quoting figures nobody checks; his lists enumerate what is not there. In 2022 he represented Spain at the Venice Biennale with «Corrección», which consisted of building new walls inside the pavilion, turned ten degrees, to align it with its neighbours: a room apparently empty and full of argument. National Prize for Graphic Art in 2006 and the Joan Miró Prize in 2015. His works on paper are the way into the market.
