Who they were
The figurehead of the Young British Artists and Turner Prize winner in 1995. His work always circles the same things —death, science, the price of things— and he has made it with animals in formaldehyde, butterflies, pill cabinets and a skull covered in diamonds. Two houses handle him in Spain, and the connection is not accidental: Galería Hilario Galguera opened in Mexico City in 2006 with a solo show of his, «The Death of God», which was his first exhibition in Mexico. The affordable way in is his PRINTS, editioned in large runs.
